Finding New Hope in Hardship (FREE 7 Day Devotional)

Bible open to Isaiah 41 next to a printable devotional with reflective journal prompts and a white ceramic coffee mug

I have faced chronic debilitating insomnia for over ten years.

In the early years, I was in acute crisis and so often found myself at the end of myself.  I needed God’s rescue in tangible ways.  I didn’t know how I would carry on.  When it was days between even a few hours of sleep, I became emotionally and physically drained.  As the years continued on, the relentlessness of my trial so often discouraged me.  People would ask how I was, and I didn’t even know how to answer.  I was tired of telling them the same story, that nothing had changed at all.  Now, after ten years I have more good days then bad, but the hope within me outshines the darkness outside of me.

Where are you at?

Maybe right now, you have found yourself suddenly thrust into a difficult season.  I have created a 7 day,  daily devotional that will orient you in a direction that brings you nearer to Christ, even in this state of shock and pain that you find yourself in.  If you are in the thick of a difficult season that never feels like it will end, I understand how that feels too.  Maybe these words will give you fresh perspective or hope during long and hard days of ongoing suffering.

No matter where this devotional finds you, I am praying that you will feel fully seen, reassured of God’s love for you, and will have fresh eyes to see God’s presence with you, even here, and even in this.

Sign up using the form below, and I'll send a devotional prompt to your inbox for the next 7 days. You’ll also receive the complete printable so you can work at your own pace. If you are ALREADY a subscriber, the devotional should already be in your e-mail inbox!

Start each day with a prompt to posture yourself towards God.

May this be a new beginning for you, wherever you’re at.
